Field Sales Representative

The Field Sales Representative will join our client’s existing, successful sales team based in Exeter selling either IT contracts, IT Managed Services or hosted cloud telephony into SMEs across the South West.

Our client is looking for a ‘hunter’ telecommunications or IT sales candidate with a proven track record in sales to cover their South West territory.

Candidates will:

  • have B2B field sales experience
  • have previous experience in either the telecommunications or IT industry
  • have a proven track record of achieving and exceeding targets
  • be educated, presentable and professional
  • be enthusiastic and energetic
  • be honest in their approach
  • ideally live south of Bristol (Exeter, Taunton, Plymouth etc)
  • be required to generate their own leads
  • be able to use a CRM system (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics)

Training: candidates will receive formal sales training every 2 weeks and on-the-job structured training. On commencement of the job individuals will shadow an existing Sales Representative. The successful candidate will be trained on all products but will champion one or two.

Ongoing Support: Throughout their employment individuals will have access to the support of the Pre-Sales, in-house Sales team, and Technical Support who can attend appointments with them if necessary.

Salary: circa £25k to £40k basic (depending on experience) plus uncapped commission with OTE circa £60k-£110k per annum

Targets: monthly targets are set. These are based on gross profit and revenue.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8.45am–5.30pm, although a degree of flexibility is required in order to fulfil the full duties of the role.

Probation Period: 6 months
